Markus Stahmer, 50, will become Managing Director of PoolOne Giant Media GmbH in Hamburg from 01.04.19. He will be responsible for Sales, Marketing, Strategic Purchasing and Operational Processes. Together with existing board members Arnd Giesen, Christian Niehoff, Hans Wittwer and Lutz Kirsten, Markus Stahmer is to drive the strengthening of PoolOne's market position as the leading non-group-affiliated giant poster provider in Germany.
Lutz Kirsten, spokesman for the shareholders, explains: „We are delighted to have secured Markus Stahmer, a true giant poster and out-of-home media expert, for this new role. The focus of further development will be the targeted expansion of conventional and digital inventory. This will significantly enhance the already highly attractive national offering of giant poster spaces for our clients.“
Before his time at PoolOne Giant Media GmbH, Markus Stahmer, who completed a degree in economics, social sciences, and political science at the University of Hamburg, worked as Managing Director and Country Director at blowup media GmbH.
Life Markus Stahmer
Markus Stahmer was born in Bad Oldesloe, near Lübeck, in 1968. After completing a commercial apprenticeship and a degree in economics, social sciences, and political science, he began his professional career in 1999 at OMG Outdoor, a specialist agency for out-of-home media in Hamburg. From there, he moved to Abribus Citymedia GmbH, the German sales subsidiary of the JCDecaux Group, as Sales Manager for Northern Germany in 2003. In 2007, he transferred to blowUP media GmbH in a similar role, heading up German sales as Sales Director since the end of 2010. Since 2012, he has held the position of Country Director, responsible for sales and location acquisition in Germany. From 01.04.2019, Markus Stahmer will become part of the management team at PoolOne Giant Media GmbH, Hamburg/Münster.
